The Important Things for Fresh Graduates to Face Real world

Are you a Fresh Graduate?

Some important points that you must remember as a fresh graduate

For those of you who have graduated from college, you will be very happy when you graduate from campus. But do not be happy first, there is a reality of life that you have to face which is arguably quite "complicated" and some technical things that you must master. considering we are entering the Industrial Age 4.0 which is full of competition.

Let's look at this article that you must remember:

1. Know Yourself

Before you apply to a company, it would be nice to recognize yourself and your passion. to recognize yourself you can go through personality tests using DISC (Personality Test) that can get to know your potential and passion with this test. and now there are many online DISCs that you can use to know who you really are, what is passion and work that suitable for you.

2. Sharpen Skills

There is no harm in your free time you can use for positive things like sharpening skills that you have and learning new things. because basically a fresh graduate must be able to "multitask" to become a selling point and get plus value when you get an invitation to interview.

3. Remake CV

A CV is an important point when you want to apply for a job. In the process of looking for work, don't forget to always update your CV. list experiences (if any), skills you have, training, seminars that you have participated in and don't forget to always list professional references that know you well.

4. Be Wise in Social Media

The social media section is an important point in the process of finding work and developing your career. In the recruitment process sometimes HR Recruitment looks at your social media activities through social media and becomes one of the assessments in the selection process even though it is not the main assessment. And don't forget to always update your LinkedIn profile to build networks with professionals and wise people in using social media.

5. Increase adaptability

Maybe you already understand, that adaptability is the main requirement to be able to survive anywhere. Never close yourself with anyone. Because more adaptable people are sought after by companies and it's easier to learn new things

6. Looking for experience or work?

Some fresh graduates may still be confused about what their first career will look for. For a fresh graduate, look for experience as much as possible, because the experience is the "precious pearl" that you get. Never see the salary you get, the point is you have to be grateful for what you get now and as long as it's enough for your life for a month, yes you just take it because with experience that will determine your next career.

7. Exit the comfort zone

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone" Are you quite familiar with the quote? There are many discussions about comfort zones, but almost all agree that the comfort zone will not make us move forward. As much as possible avoid complaining. One more thing, "Think out of the box". When post-campus life takes you to a new world that is different from your academic background, face it. No need to limit yourself. the point is as long as you want to learn, you can do it. The most important thing is to contribute to the best abilities you have.

8. Practising gratefulness

The last point is the ability to be grateful. No doubt, the salary nominal becomes a calculation when going through a certain job. At least, you have estimated the cost of living in the city where you work. When you get information that benefits elsewhere (with the same portion and workload turned out to be more interesting), try to think carefully before deciding to resign. Because the ability to be grateful for what you get will make you calmer, even though that calm is an important capital to be able to think clearly before determining the next steps.

Keep up the spirit for fresh graduates :)

Some Important Things That You Should Pay Attention to Your CV

http://idolovemyjob.blogspot.com/2015/09/cara-membuat-curriculum-vitae-yang-baik.html

To be honest, I do really tired to read 'unproper CV' every day. I received almost hundreds of CV every day. Other company probably thousands. And I read all of them. I repeat, all of them. Once I don't find it interesting, I will simply put it on 'CV In' folder and not looking back it again. Not even send it to the user.

There are some important things that you should pay attention to your CV. Here is some.

First, make sure you put your personal information. Full name, nickname, date of birth, home address, phone and email. Sometimes, I find these things missing even on a proper CV.

Second, write your complete work experience. Previous company, position and work year. You also can put your jobdesc summary but its only needed for leader line position. Be honest to your CV. Do not try to look cool. Because what you write, is what recruiter ask.

Third, put your other related skill. Please stop write "proficient in using Ms. Word (Docs, Excel, Ppt)." In this era, you have to be profficient to used those. You can write another skill such as Corel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Ilustrator etc. It is also required for language. Stop write "excellent skill in Bahasa" or other traditional language. We won't asked youby internet. It is not wrong either to learn another foreign language
r mother language. In this era, English is a must. So learn it. Take a class or learn it online

Fourth, make it properly. Use point for long explanation. Ask your friend to check your CV. Look at someone else point of view. It helps to find out what's missing from your CV. Pay attention to typo! It's 'daily not dealy.' It's 'training not treaning.' Ms. Word has its feature to check this. Change your language to English US. For me, it helps. And I still use it until now.

Fifth, be creative! I do not suggest to use CV template that you find on Google. Make it customized by yourself. Or if you insist to use template from Google, do not use the first suggestion. Trust me, a lot of job seeker out there also do the same.

Six, if you are going to send other supporting docs such as Graduate Certificate, etc, scan it properly. Do not send the docs that you take a picture from your phone. That isn't proper. There is some Scanning application on Play Store. Download it and try to use it. Do not make things too simple. Or recruiter can treat your CV simple.

Last but not least, write the email subject properly. Do not write 'any vacant position in your company.' I understand you are dying for a job, but do not beg for it. Write your interest will be better.

When you are going to send an application email, check and recheck again. Write the subject properly. Make sure you write an opening words in the body email. To get into someone else house, you need to introduce yourself. Make sure the attached file is attached properly. If there is too much, Zip it. Name your file properly. CV, Graduate Certificate, etc. Make it clean.

I hope this words can help. Good luck!
